This is a spot I sourced at CES for my client, eHang for the launch of their new Ghost drone into the US market. I gained exclusive video coverage for the company, a lengthy article, and a demo you can see in the video, along with actual footage. This was a very big piece in a large publication with high readership and two very important editors in the drone and technology space.
eHang now has a market cap of $650M on NASDAQ.

I sourced this television spot with Fox through my personal network for my client, Yuneec, a drone company funded by Intel. I wanted them to gain coverage in larger publications for their prosumer drone, the Typhoon H, unique in its ability, technology, and price, to reach beyond the same publications they were working with to reach new core audiences.
Yuneec raised $60M in funding from Intel® Capital.

Due to the success of the crowdfunding campaign I led to introduce a new Chinese company to the US market, I was interviewed by Tech In Asia to understand the ins and outs of crowdfunding, strategy, and bringing a new product to market.

“I think we have done a great job lowering the barriers to drone use by using a smartphone instead of an RC controller, and designing a super easy user interface,” Perez says. “When it comes down to it, showing folks the benefits of using drones is key. If there are benefits to the business, it’s hard to say no to that kind of opportunity.”

I was invited to speak at a conference about equity investing, one of which is through the crowdfunding model. Panelists included VCs, investors, and entrepreneurs, including the famed venture capital investor Tim Draper of DFJ.

I was asked to speak at a conference of hardware entrepreneurs and investors. I sat on a panel about PR for crowdfunding. Speakers included investors at GGV capital, executives at Indiegogo, founders, and professors of computer science and engineering.
Bio: Jess Perez is Head of Marketing at EHANG Tech, makers of GHOST drone quad copters and leaders in aviation technology. She manages all aspects of marketing, including leading GHOST's crowd funding campaign. Previously, she was an early hire at various Bay Area e-commerce start-ups, including VC-funded Cuyana and Tea Collection, growing each business from the early days.
